Our tunable up to 4 channel solution has been designed to take full advantage of digital horticulture lighting.

Adjustable light distribution

Our patent pending approach allows to adjust the light distribution to different cultivation areas and methods.

Infinite possibilities

The Cropter Pro can upgraded with up to six additional LED channels, from UVA to 850 nm.

Fully networkable

Unleash the full potential with remote control, sophisticated lighting recipes and monitoring functions.

The Cropter

The Cropter is the world’s most versatile grow light. It has been designed to enable growers to take full control of all important aspects of grow lighting. Tune the spectrum to manipulate the shape of your plants and other important processes. Implement dimming strategies to reduce stress and maximize yields. Adjust the light distribution to your grow area and method. Combining the Cropter with the Control HUB will give you even more flexibility! Sounds complicated? Don’t worry, we are always here to help!

Tunable spectrum and Intensity

Due to the fact that different strains react differently and  spectral distribution can work as a trigger signal it is crucial to have a tunable spectrum. Our tunable up to 4 channel solution has been designed to take full advantage of digital horticulture lighting.

The integrated touch panel of the Cropter allows you to fully control the intensity of each of the up to 4 LED channels and thereby to control the intensity and spectrum of the light with no need for additional equipment. You can adjust each of the up to 4 channels individually as well as the overall light intensity.

For those who want sophisticated light recipes, monitoring functions and remote control, it is possible to connect hundreds of Cropters with the Control HUB.

Adjustable light distribution

In order to get optimal results it is crucial that all plants will recieve nearly the same amount of light. For that reason we do not use secondary optics (lenses) and we have equipped the Cropter with four light sources.

But that’s not all. The Cropter is the first high-end LED grow light with adjustable light distribution, realized by adjusting the length of the arms.

Our patent pending approach allows to adjust the light distribution to different cultivation areas and methods.

Spectral Extension Mods (SEMs)

In addition to our Cropter Pro, we offer two Spectral Extension Mods (SEMs). They have been developed as an affordable tool for ambitious growers in order to develop more sophisticated lighting recipes and strategies.

By adding a SEM to a Cropter Pro, it is possible to both extend the spectrum and increase light output.

2 SEMs are available for the Cropter Pro.

The Control HUB

…can be used to create hundreds of spectra (light recipes) to manipulate important factors like shape, compound composition, and more. Dynamically changing light recipes can help to reduce stress and increase overall plant health. The Control HUB makes it easy to schedule light recipes. For larger, more sophisticated projects, it may be necessary to organize Cropters in different groups. The Control HUB Pro can be set up to independently control up to 10 groups, each with their own light recipes and schedules.

There is no need to install any software. Simply use your browser to access the web-based user interface of the Control HUB. It is possible to use it offline or remotely control it from anywhere around the world.

FAQs

Where is the Cropter equipment produced?

The Cropter is developed and manufactured in Germany. All companies involved are small and medium-sized companies from Germany. The Cropter is assembled by hand in Dresden and every unit is tested for at least 24h before it gets shipped.

We mainly use OSRAM, Nichia, and Cree chips. But as important as the chips is the overall thermal design. From heatsinks to PCB material, every aspect has to be considered with the same passion like choosing the LED chips.

Yes of course! To use the HUB you will need a router to establish a network but it does not have to be connected to the internet. We also recommend using LAN cables instead of WIFI.

For beginners, SEMs are not necessary because exploring the capacity of the Cropter will take some time. The SEMs are interesting for advanced growers who are interested in manipulating compound profiles or researchers who are interested in digging deep into spectral tuning.
