Who is behind COMPLED?
The journey started in 2008, when Arne, Carsten, and Christoph built their first tunable LED grow light prototype. It took another 2 years of trials and research before Arne and Christoph founded COMPLED, the company behind the Cropter in 2010. Since then, COMPLED’s core business has always been the development of tunable high-end LED solutions for plant research facilities. In 2017, the first prototype of the original Cropter was born based on almost 10 years of research. We had learned that grow lighting is no rocket science if you abandon the idea of a static (aka „perfect“) grow light. Perfection can only be based on flexibility since natural sunlight is not static.
